I live in the lovely, quiet village of Sutton Bonington, Leicester with my partner, two daughters and our gorgeous dog. I have a background in science and hold a degree in Geology with Palaeobiology.
I’m no stranger to complementary therapies, my mother trained as a hypnotherapist in the 80’s and my father as a reflexologist in the 90’s, so I have witnessed first-hand how these therapies can improve people’s lives and general well-being.
After having my second daughter in 2014 I decided I needed a career change, I wanted to do something meaningful to help people in a way that worked around my family. In 2017, I heard about a practice called Reiki through a friends Facebook page, I did a lot of research and I decided to train as a practitioner.
Practicing Reiki has completely changed my life and when I saw how my family and friends reacted to their treatments, I knew that this was the path for me. After completing levels 1 and 2 I decided to add to my repertoire and Reflexology seemed the logical next step.
I trained at the highest level I could in the UK with a Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Reflexology with world renown reflexologist David Wayte, principal of Jubilee College and founder of the Finger Free® Reflexology technique and I haven’t looked back since. Reflexology is an amazing therapy and I love how my clients respond to their treatments.
the holistic therapist was born out of a desire to help and educate people to take control of their own wellbeing and to be able to do that in an affordable and reliable manner. I wanted to unite the two things that really bring me joy, helping people and learning, I constantly strive to develop my own learning and development to bring new techniques, information and treatments to my clients.
So that you can rest in the knowledge that your therapist is fully qualified and insured, I am a full member of the following Governing bodies:
Association of Reflexologists (AoR) & The Reiki Association (TRA)
the holistic therapist is also registered with the Information Commissioners Office, so you know that your data is safe in our hands, for more information on how we store and use your data please click here.
Helping people from all walks of life is the core ethos at the holistic therapist and as part of that I work as the Lead Complementary Therapist for Sue Young Cancer Care in Leicester. We love the planet and being out in nature here at the holistic therapist and to do our bit for the environment we only use natural, vegan friendly products from small companies that have similar ideals to our own, trying to reduce our use of single use products wherever we can. If you’re not sure if complementary therapies are for you, if you’d like more information, or if you’d simply like to see how we connect, make your first step towards self-care and wellbeing with a free, no-obligation consultation at the holistic therapist. Together, we will talk about your concerns, symptoms, medical background and lifestyle factors, and explore my philosophy and services on offer. At the conclusion of your free consultation, you have the opportunity to schedule your first appointment, in which we will comprehensively go over your history, develop a treatment plan and administer your first treatment.
